DNA day commemorates the day when James Watson, Francis Crick, Maurice Wilkins, Rosalind Franklin and colleagues published the double helix structure of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in the journal Nature in 1953. DNA day is celebrated on April 25th and is a recognised public holiday in the USA.
